I have a 55in TCL series 6 from several years ago that is still going strong but I am considering retiring it to a bedroom and buying an OLED finally.

I don't actually like bright TVs and am constantly annoyed by how bright mine is, and I really miss the rich blacks of the plasma era.

Do you think I should go for this or is there something around the same deal range that I should shoot for?

It's not a good deal because you can find c5 or s90F 65 inches for about 200 bucks more .Can you afford that? If not you can try for the s85F which does have qdoled. Remember qdoled has better colors saturation. Also- it's not only about full brightness but HDR.This tv won't be bad by any means but can you do $1000-$1100? That gets you a much better tv

Yea it's really tricky with Samsung people must really look this up even between markets because in some countries this might be wrong. But I think you're in the US. We know for sure 83 isn't ever qdoled tho

You need EPP for Samsung website or an EDU account a lot of jobs give access. Or just any school account do you have access to that? Some people used Hulu as well idk if that still available
