I have a full AVR setup but if you want CEC to work fully, the Samsung detects the volume change and still displays the massive popup.

I wondered what your complaint was. I have a non OLED and you nailed it. Still like the tv but insanely dumb volume display!!!

Use an Apple TV and the Samsung Volume display wont show up, you can disable the Apple TV volume display if you don't like it as well.

Keep in mind this 65" version is WOLED. The 55" is a QD-OLED with noticably better color/brightness. I do love the built-in Smartthings hub with Thread, Zigbee, Matter etc.
