I just got this and it's been pretty great. I spent a lot of hours scouring the web to find me the best IPS monitor for my interests. This seems to have been rated quite well as an 4K IPS Black monitor that can handle both productivity and gaming (console specifically for my needs). It checked almost all my boxes (HDMI 2.1, DP 2.1, minimum 120Hz VRR), and can handle firmware updates with Mac since I don't own a Windows PC. Wished it had USB-C but I have a docking station so a non-issue. About same ballpark as some other IPS monitors that I almost bought. In case you're curious, these were a couple I was comparing it to and that made it on my final decision list:
- BenQ MOBIUZ EX2710U - Dell UltraSharp U2725QE
- LG 27GP95R-B

It would've been a killer deal if this monitor were 32 inches.

It isn't much of a deal either way. Samsung had a 180hz/360hz 4K Dual mode IPS for $200 multiple times. I don't think this is worth essentially MSRP (the Samsung G70F is $400 now) for a few more hz and 250 more nits. They are both IPS and limited by the technology itself for contrast so yeah I would expect at least MiniLED at this price given 1440p OLEDs are cheaper...
I would like to comment on the dual mode, based on my experience with the 45". My expectation was to be able to play my Campaing games using 45" and fps competitive at 24 or 27" FHD 330hz.
The fact is, unless you play games with very low detail, like counter strike. It's impossible to use it, games like BF5 or COD is very difficult to see things due the fact the dual mode stretches the picture.
The Full HD area is equivalent to 1/4 of the screen, specially the 27 I believe the picture will be even more affected. Please consider that, I'm in the process to return my 45".

Panel is not fast enough to do the 480hz mode, or even the 240hz without ghosting
