2016 4K (July 19, 2016 – 2‑disc set)
This was the original 4K release that came out around the film's home‑video window. Key traits, based on how people describe it and how Amazon labels it on this page:
  • 2 discs: usually 4K UHD + standard Blu‑ray.
  • Earlier 4K master: no IMAX aspect‑ratio switching, a flatter grade by today's standards.
  • More "first‑gen" HDR and color timing; some fans consider it good but not reference‑level.

    2021 4K (March 23, 2021 – 1‑disc "Remastered" Ultimate Edition)
This is the later "Snyder remaster" and the one collectors usually recommend now. If you care about image quality and the IMAX framing, the 2021 remaster is the one to get. If you just want a cheaper copy and don't care about those improvements, the 2016 2‑disc set can be a budget choice, especially used.
