"Use freefile!" -- if your return is simple enough for this, HR Block Deluxe is more than you need, anwyay.
"Print and file state to save $20" -- ditto above. My return isn't complex, but the state requires about 30 pages printed, signed, certified mail...the time spent printing, organzizing, and $10+ postage isn't worth it.
As always, YMMV, but I'm speaking to the target audience here. Worst tax program available...except for all the others. Check your own math where you can. It's not flawless (especially state). However, most of the errors I've found are redundancies, not major omissions, so easy to fix. The error check (ironically) finds most of the stuff the program failed to do.

H&R block has added "ai" to their software before adding any "Dark Mode" is insane to me. My eyes bleed every time I have to do my taxes on their software. I wonder if I can ask their ai to make the app "Dark Mode". 🤣
