Isn't the software the same, just the validation method is different? This is what HR Block says to someone's question on it that I found online "Hello, thank you for reaching out. The key card will be a physical card with the access code while the key code is an access code that will be emailed to you. Please let us know if you have further questions!"
You didn't need to paste that answer
Anyway:
The software version tends to include more support for IRS forms at the same named tier (e.g., Deluxe desktop often handles investment forms that the Deluxe online version might require paying for a higher tier for).
  • For example, investment income, stock sales, and some deductions can be supported in Deluxe software without upgrading further online.

Is it worth going with the online version for the tax pro review? If you're a new customer they offer it for free. I've never done my taxes on my own, going on 30 years now. I'm going to give it a shot this year!

Sold some stuff laying around the home on ebay. Got a 1099k, is business version recommended or premium or deluxed?

They are the same. The digital download is also just an email from Newegg that includes a product key and instructions to download from HR Block's website. Source: Just purchased it (N82E16832732211).

FYI:

Last years version I was able to install on my old Windows 7 desktop even though the software specs said it wasn't supported however when installing this years version it wouldn't allow it to install.

I had to copy/paste the download to a thumb drive and install on my 2 1/2 year old "new" laptop.

I did the same thing and the deluxe version handles 1099k fine.

One thing this year is that H&R still has deduction pro, whereas TT canceled theirs this year. So worth it,

I sold RSUs 5 times last year. My 1099-D showed 43 transactions because each vesting occurs over 5 days. I had to manually enter 43 sales entries to add the cost basis from each one. Has anyone got a better system than this. It is ridiculous.

Just found out that eFile for Fed is free (included), but eFile for state costs another $19.95+tax
:-(
I hate these tax prep sc*mbags! (the same POS's who pay Congress to NOT let the IRS take care of filing, like they do in many industrialized countries).
