I think they always had this deal or am I thinking of another place? They had this deal where select items (pizzas, breadsticks, etc.) were $6.99 each.
This is a good deal for large pizzas, despite only being two topping.

Wage conscious label, under $10.875 at the time where minimum wage is $7.25/hr.! Back in the day, one topping large would have been $1.50 on $1/hr.
This is about the best deal you get at domino's imo if you can live with two toppings. More toppings than that and the amounts get reduced to about the same total weight anyway at least from my stores. Get the 20% or more discounted gift cards from Costco/Sam's and you're golden.
