S85F is a "holiday" model made with subpar parts. It's not worth it

Can't confirm but good catch if you're right. Looks like the S84F is the regular model.

Edit: disregard, previous poster corrected his/her mistake

I read incorrectly, S84F is the Holiday model so what I said stands true for that part

That said I am aware that S85F is their entry model which is still an upgrade from say a 58" Hisense Roku TV, but it's still a TV that struggles dramatically with certain colors like cyan. This 77" variety is W-OLED so that's a downside in and of itself.

Not a bad price if you are epp eligible, but based on rtings review, they do say this model at 77 inches does not have the qd-oled panel. It has woled instead. That may be a deal breaker for some.

Chat with support and complain the $100 off for using app for first time isn't working and they told me this tv isn't part of that offer but they gave me a $160 off code so it was even better. Also 3% additional cb at RTM

so with coupon, cashback, cc cashback looking at $902.39 - any samsung rewards you might have.

Was tempted to go for this instead of 65" S90F for our Master (tv wall is 14 feet from our heads) but the overall brightness seems too low for an above grade room. If I needed this in the basement, it would be an easy buy. Especially with double points and previous poster mentioning discount with chat.

Is this any better than Q8F?

Sneaky how they can still call it OLED when it's technically WOLED.

I would probably take any oled over any qled unless brightness was just an ultimate deal killer. The competition is much closer when you start getting into mini-led.

So is the LG G6. So are the vast majority of OLED TVs. I think every oled not made by Samsung and a couple by Sony.

Do people here not know what WOLED is?
