I bought this on sale a month ago for this price, and it is absolutely a steal if you're not tired of open world games, and you want a physical cart. FYI - This is one of those 'game key cards' where you get the physical cart and box, but the actual game has to be downloaded once inserted. I didn't really mind, as I kind of like having a physical copy (even if the data is not on it) and I thought I might sell the game or give it to a friend if I didn't like it.

Fortunately, I loved the game.

This game is GORGEOUS on the Switch 2, especially when docked. There is a demo available if you're not sure about it. The demo is OK - it sort of throws you into the game at a weird point, but the game itself is fantastic.
This is the Star Wars game I always wanted as a kid. You play as a scoundrel and work for different criminal organizations on different planets. You can explore those planets on foot, or on a landspeeder. You get a ship and there's actual ship combat and stuff to do in space. You can double cross people sneak into imperial bases, blast your way out, smuggle, cheat, explore gamble, etc. It's so much fun, and I have yet to run into a single Jedi or lightsaber!

If you wanted a Han Solo simulator, this is it. Plus, it has a great and very Star Wars story set sometime between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

How are the Star wars games these days? I loved Rogue Squadron back in the dark ages.

Price-matched with a chat agent at Best Buy, I heard good things about this game after the updates. I'm looking forward to trying it out!

Tried it on ps5, gave up. Don't expect some epic story or gameplay. Level design is very frustrating.

I think it is a great game but like all Ubisoft games, there is too much to do and not sure what to do next.
The reputation system is frustrating but it was a nice attempt to mix up gameplay.

My issue with level design is they will send you to a mountain area to look for a special device and end up driving around the mountain a couple of times to find a way to enter.
That got old fast. I wish there was a setting to put a marker exactly where to go.

It's not worth $30. This is the worst format of a terrible game on the weakest system.

they key card is just an other form or activation code only its on an plastic card vs and piece f cardboard , if ubisoft and or nintendo decide to stop supporting the game your SO CALLED PHYSICAL CARD is not working anymore !

It does suck, but it's a mixed bag. If they just decided not to do physical at all, you'd be stuck buying digital, in which case you'd be in the same situation. At least with the key card you could sell it, give it away, trade with friends, etc.

You know what's worse, when they put out a retail box on the shelf and it's literally just a one-time use download code in the box. That's another route that has been used before the key cards. I'm not saying I like key cards (I don't own any and don't plan to), just that it's not 100% good or bad.

I'm not a Star Wars guy but I bought the Xbox version of this for one of my kids and I'm surprised it's not doing better in the marketplace.

It's basically a classic Assassin's Creed style open world game set in the Star Wars universe. Good mix of stealth gameplay and blast-your-way-through sequences that allows for a variety of play styles.

My kid found a couple of forced stealth sequences difficult (during early tutorial missions where they try to teach you the mechanics) but overall he had a lot of fun just racing around the desert on one of those floating motorcycles and blasting storm troopers.

He hasn't finished it yet but his only real complaints were around the stealth gameplay (which is always tough in this type of game) and that he wished he could choose a male main character.
