The 2024 Moto G Power for $95 at Best Buy when you add the $26 Visible SIM. While not technically cheaper, it would be my suggestion. Some have reported being able to not pickup the SIM and just getting the phone for discounted price, which would be $70 if it worked out. No 365 day wait to get it unlocked, and the 2024 is a better device in some specs.

My apologies for not adding the specs ... I posted from phone and for some reason I cannot edit op. Will do it once I will be near my system

Are metro cell frequencies reduced then a regular unlocked moto phone? Sometimes phones are deliberately crippled even after unlocked by certain cell companies. Thanks.

The 2020 was best version. I'd get 15+ hours screentime over days. Never seen that type of battery life again...the Edge 2023+ is a close 2nd. OnePlus 15 may be the new battery king.

With the change in Verizon's unlock policy, this is possibly the cheapest way to get an decent unlocked device with a huge caviate of a wait time of 365 days. Happy to be corrected or more suggestions.

I have a Tmobile line already and I'd love to upgrade the phone I'm using. Since Metro runs on Tmobile will I be able to just put my SIM card in this when the 30 days of Metro is over?
I don't care about the unlock, if I can use this phone with my Tmobile Sim card without any problem.

Can I use it with the regular (cheapest) T-Mobile post paid plan after the 1st month?

Metro is locked to its own network and will not work with T-Mobile. It used to work the other way around, but I recall T-Mobile ended up blocking that as well. Don't count on using this Metro device on T-Mobile or any of its other MVNO until it is unlocked.

Good tip, I'm going to give it a try. Better than waiting one year for it to unlock
