I have never been able to get my AP3 out of transparency mode, so the noise-cancelling stinks (checked all the settings and browsed Apple forums for ideas).... I know others love them, but I should have returned mine and tried another pair when I could. My AP2 is better NC (for me at least due to transparency mode).

Waiting for Bose QC Ultra 2nd Gen Earbuds to go on sale. I've listened to the 1st gen vs my APP3's and found the ANC, fit and sound quality better. Though I give ease of use to Apple. From what I've read there are slight improvements to 2nd gen.

Buy from Walmart. I bought the Airpod pros 3 during the Christmas sale from Amazon and the case wouldn't hold a charge. Went to apple, and they ran their diagnostic testing tool on the case, but it wouldn't work. They asked where I got it from and I said amazon. They told me they couldn't warranty it since it could have been swapped out, as Amazon is known for that.
Returned the air pods pro 3 immediately with Amazon since it was within 30 days, but they are now dragging their feet processing refund.
Lesson learned. Never buy electronics off Amazon.

You should only buy Apple products and accessories from Apple or from trusted retailers like Adorama, B&H, and Best Buy. Outside those, the chances you get a fake are high as fakes are mixed in with real products during fulfillment. Even Walmart and Target are iffy as they offer 3rd party sales
