The HD 6XX comes across as a classic open back headphone with a sound that lands close to the HD 650 and is especially strong for vocals. It is praised as a rare new deal at this price, with long term durability, easy pad and cord replacement, and a reputation for lasting for years. The main catch is power, since the high impedance makes an amp or capable dongle important, and the clamp can feel tight at first. A solid pick if you want the 650 style sound and can drive it properly.

Sennheiser Hd 650 sounds too dark for me (IMO suppressed highs and lack details in highs).
I really enjoy my Sundara headphones. I also own Sennheiser hd598, beyerdynamic dt 880 and wireless Sony WH-1000XM4.
Sundara headphones are also easy to drive (don't need a dedicated amp).

Sundara costs almost the same.

PS it's better to order several pairs of headphones and compare them yourself. Keep what you like more. I hope my post will help someone. Enjoy your music!
The K702 and K7xx have a huge sound stage. The K702 is tuned a bit bright so excels in sound separation in jazz, instrumental music(classical guitar etc), they EQ really well so they can be tuned down or up. Out the box they are a bit weak on bass. They EQ really well, again, it's amazing. They are phenomenal for gaming, the positional audio cues in games makes it a game changer. The K7XX fixes a lot of the chief complaints in the K702s without EQ but these EQ well as well. I use tube amps and a DAC to correct the K series sound to my liking and added a bit of warmth. The K series also have a VERY low noise floor. It exposes really bad input sources so keep that in mind when pairing with a tube amp(hissing). Construction on the K702 I dislike, too many moving parts. Within a year my plastic guides for the elastic has broke which doesn't affect the fit or function, it just feels cheap like a Koss or something which sucks. It's comfortable though for hours of use. The K7XX have since replaced my K702s but I'd use either.
The HD6XX have a 'veil' over them if you come from brighter headphones. I find them pleasant and easy to listen too. Great clarity and more of a personal sound to them compared to the K series. I use these for work when listening to podcasts, videos, and media, nothing critical. They are also easy to drive and just a overall really pleasant sound. I have not done critical listening with them and only have a small USB Fiio KA3 amp(which honestly it doesn't need). Has a high noise floor. Also very comfortable. Better built as well.
I don't think you can go wrong if you have different use cases for them. I have two PCs so i have different use cases. Maybe that would fit for you too.
Also, Sennheiser own HDVA600 amp pairing is equally as good, and not as hot, but it might be harder to find those days. Same, it is meant only for high impedance cans, but it does excel in that use case.
