It wasn't this exact model, but I bought similar in the past and used it to lift up and the threaded rod even up severely deforming the metal plate it was turning on.

Difficult to explain I guess. Bottom line, I would NOT lift with these.

Yeah these arent particularly meant for lifting, you are supposed to use these like jack-stands, supporting a load you lifted via a different method.

That's what it looked like to me when i saw this thread, but there are people with videos online somehow getting marginal lift by cranking hard on the rod. The listing calls this a jack, and videos show people doing very minor "jacking," so I figured they are actually considered a "jack."

Either way, jacking with these doesn't seem safe nor easy, even fastened at both ends. Having some hydraulics involved is far more sane, and using these as temporary posts. Yet once again, I saw some of these things also extremely rusted up, under buildings, being used as permanent posts...

Everyone is just using these incorrectly, right? Right?!
