I have the gear wrench bi directional OBD2 dongle that utilizes your phone or tablet. It is dreadfully slow and doesn't really work well with modern Fords.

I've got the same dongle started of slow but recent app updates have sped it up considerably. No complaints now. It's actually faster that using the torque app for me now.

I might have to give it another shot. Last time it was 10-15 minutes to run a diagnostic. Also takes many minutes to load.

EXTREMELY tempted. This is a great price for a scan tool that includes topology mapping.

Anyone know if the tool will continue to function after the free update runs out?

Also, ROOMTEN gives $10 off.

Read the recent verified reviews. No way would I risk $400 on this. Gearwrench are known for making good values tools, but obd scanners are obviously out of their wheelhouse.

I have read reviews and they seem positive. I even watched some Youtube reviews. If you read reviews on Amazon, you have to sort them from the dongle only tool.

Yeah... no. Filtering to verified customers and Pro Tablet, then sorting by Recent brings up enough bad reviews to scare me off. Plus it's only $440 on Amazon so no big deal from Woot.

Yeah...no. There are 22 verified reviews. One is from someone who initiated a command mistakenly and one is from someone who can't call them during his scheduled work hours...

You are obviously living in a parallel but different universe to me. In my universe this thing is shit.
