I've been thinking about the Acer. Any particular reason you'd choose that? Costco return policy?

One of their images says only "167,000 colors". Given the fact that RGB with 256 levels = 256^3 =16,777,216, it seems like they're really bad at math. I can only wonder how bad their product's quality control is.

I have had good experiences with Bay Refurbished Acers. Plus, the included 2 year warranty is an added benefit.

167,000 to 16,777,216?

My guess is they dropped a digit by accident, and I doubt the person who messed up the copie / paste (of the nominal figure) is also working the floor in QC. Especially being these are endlessly rebranded generics by anyone willing to resell them. Not to mention it was likely made in a factory staffed by thousands even if they were sourced by the same company, not in the neighborhood bodega with 1 employee whose carelessness touches every aspect of the operation.

Most of these portable monitors are junk. The panel bends the wrong way and they die.

I bought one for $40 generic Chinese brand from Amazon. Only issue was being unable to stream Hulu and YouTube properly with audio from switch using only usbc cord directly. It required using the dock. I'll be traveling in a couple months so and the place I'm staying I won't have a personal tv or WiFi in that house. So I'm tempted to bring a portable monitor or projector and purchase a starlink mini which is currently on sale
