I have no clue how ATT hasn't closed down because everywhere I've been their network is shit.
I don't know all the workings behind the scenes. I've been with them (5 lines) for a bit over 4 years with no issues (Warp and Lightspeed only)
They are REALLY pushing Darkstar, so gotta be getting some sweet deal from ATT or planning to get a ton of subscribers and hoping ATT buys them out???

US Mobile doesn't follow the law. They give you hassles when you try to port out your number.
So both = hard pass.

I took this to mean something different, but it's important that we figure out what this really means. I read this as you must remain on Dark Star (AT&T) and not jump to Warp or Lightspeed (where this promo is not applicable) and will thus be charged the full rate if you switch to those "in house networks" (rendering the network add on less useful). Porting out to a different carrier and ending your service early is something different. If this is a prepaid plan, I don't see how they can retroactively charge your card if you part ways earlier (and have already paid for the service you are forfeiting).
Can anyone confirm or deny that this is the case?
Anyone have any idea how to get visual voicemail with DarkStar? Is there an app somewhere that I am too dumb to find on my own? Please and thank you.

US Mobile is a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), meaning they don't own their own cell towers. Instead, they buy space from the "Big Three" carriers and rebrand them with sci-fi names.

The screenshot you provided is highlighting a specific technical limitation of how US Mobile handles their plans. Here is the breakdown of what is happening:
* Network Locking: When you sign up for a specific plan (like the "WINTER149" promo mentioned), your primary SIM is provisioned for one specific "core"—in this case, Dark Star (AT&T). You cannot simply toggle that specific line to another network.
* The Add-On vs. The Primary Line: The "Multi-Network" add-on creates a second, separate eSIM on your device.
* Your primary number stays on Dark Star (AT&T).
* Your secondary eSIM can be set to Warp (Verizon) or Light Speed (T-Mobile).
* The Shared Data Mechanism: Both lines draw from the same data bucket, but they function as two distinct signals. Your phone uses its built-in "Dual SIM" capability to switch between them based on which tower has a stronger signal.
Why this matters
The user in the screenshot is frustrated because the "Multi-Network" add-on doesn't "fix" a bad primary connection. If your house has zero AT&T (Dark Star) coverage, the add-on gives you a second line that works, but it doesn't move your main phone number off the dead AT&T network. Was previously on Mint and that was a bad experience, as soon as I was out of a city, or away from an interstate had problems.
Question for the mind hive: will the referral bonus stack with the mid winter blowout promo?

The promo requires a number to be ported in. It's clearly intended to get people to switch from their current provider (so they are porting in anyway), but a hassle for most existing customers who just want the deal; must grab a number to port in.
So where to get the number? [Any who read this, please share!] Last time I went with Tello for the minimal hassle ($10), but found others using Number Barn, some even GV. This is info that should be in the wiki, make it easier for all.
