These are usually up in the front of the store where the cardboard tool displays had the Christmas tools.

You can save a trip and check your local HD website for the Clearance icon below the price. If there is no Icon, click "check nearby stores" a little lower on the page, and again look for Clearance icon.

2-pack of the Gearwrench OBD2 bluetooth testers, with lifetime updates for $28.

These were on clearance for $79, and then for $39, and now most stores have them at $28 for the 2pk.

The best part of these is that you don't have to create an account, give out your email for weekly spam, or wait for verification. You just plug it in, and everything updates automatically.

Yes, you could buy a $10 OBD2 tester from Temu, and then pay $6 for some compatible generic app....or you could get these at $15 each, with 2 year warranty, and free polished software, including lifetime updates.

It's OK either way you choose to go.

Wonder how close these are to the BlueDriver OBD BT device and their app that includes the private codes for mfgs

Everyone should have something like this. I'm on BMW, so I use BimmerLink and BimmerCode, but if you don't already have a solution, this is a great place to start.

Thanks op . I woulda never thought to look for one of these at depot! Good price I'll keep one and gift one if possible. I own a cheap obd2 scanner that's 10-15 yrs old the wire is starting fall apart , live data is very limited etc .

I wonder if these are on all the time, even if the car is off. I had an issue with my Pilot where the auto battery kept dying and I had to replace it. This was manifested mostly in winter when it was really cold and I didn't drive much. Discovered that the OBDII scanner was leaching power all the time. As soon as I unplugged it, the issue went away. SO I only plug it in if I need to check codes.
