It's a much less processed way to consume wheat products. I don't eat pasta often, but when I do I use this type of product and don't feel as tired or bloated. Usually the better quality pastas are only like 50 cents more than the traditional barilla stuff we grew up on.

Semolina is just cracked wheat and contains all of the fiber and nutrients. Enriched flour is cracked, separated and the endosperm (starch and protein) is kept. From there it's lost most of it's vitamins, fiber and nutritional value so they are add back in synthetic vitamins.

This may well be a good product at a good price, just wanted to remind people that The Campbell's Company acquired Rao's Homemade in 2024

Just straight Durum Wheat in the ingredients. Very nice.

I prefer non-enriched pasta when I can find it. My pantry is stocked with one from Harris Teeter right now.

Why do you prefer non-enriched?

Oh what the hay, $1 more than barilla's at Vons. Sounds healthier I'll eat half of it instead so it'll be even then

Yes, this is great pasta. Bronze cut and made with durum wheat semolina. I have a couple bags in my pantry, and it has been very good.

And that's all anyone should actually care about. Every single thread is full of NPCs saying that Campbells wrecked the brand and everyone else saying that it's very good.

How can this be HOMEMADE when it's being mass produced

When it comes to global pasta dominance, one name towers above the rest like a mountain of spaghetti.
The best-selling pasta brand in the world is Barilla.
Founded in 1877 in Parma, Italy, Barilla is the undisputed heavyweight of the pasta world. It currently holds approximately 25% to 30% of the global market share, meaning roughly one out of every four boxes of pasta sold worldwide features that iconic dark blue box.

And it sucks. Wink
