I have the HomeKit version and it's the best WiFi garage door opener I've used. Unlike others I've tried, this one has never failed me and the iPhone and Apple Watch apps and controls are convenient and work as expected, every time.

I've used this model for over a decade with Android devices, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home. It had been fantastic and more consistent than MyQ that I encounter in other homes. I have installed these on family and friends garage doors that are exceptionally old but operating with only maintenance. I highly recommend.

I have both this opener and the HomeKit version. Both have been rock solid for years other than being logged out of the app once in a while and not receiving notifications.

I already have myq, can I install this as a secondary option so I can have control with alexa, watch app, etc?

I can echo all the positive comments here. I've had mine for almost 8 years and it's always worked flawlessly. Not their fault but I don't use it with Amazon Alexa anymore for voice opening since Alexa now requires a voice pin code to open and I have found there is no way around it. I don't want to use a voice pin because it can be overheard. But Alexa will still close it for me. And if I accidently leave it open, Meross app will send a notification.

As far as I know, Google voice requires a code to open the garage door.
Is there a way to disable this code requirement?

I have both installed as you've asked and they both work great, especially via widget on my phone.

Same as others have said; I have the homekit version of this. Setup was straightforward and does exactly what I was hoping it would. Would purchase again

Im curious what the use case is for this IoT device over just the standard opener
Home automation, situations where opener is not handy but you need to get in. I use mine for these and other negligible reasons.

Does this one work with Android Auto? I have MyQ and it doesn't.

Here to say as others have said this is a great addon. I loved it when I had it at my old house. Customer service is great as well!

I will be the one to say that the HomeKit version of this garage opener is why I refuse to buy any more Meross products.

It was a worked when it wanted to reset it and it would work for a day and then it would stop. Ended up getting a Chamberlain and that has been solid even if I can't tell Siri to open the garage.

Glad others have had luck but this was a frustratingly bad first attempt to a smart garage door opener.

Moved to this after myQ shit the bed with their subscription. Works great in combination with a TP Link smart switch and an Apple Shortcut. I'm able to use Siri to open and close the garage without unlocking the phone.
