There's reviews on the listing from previous purchases of the same item and show exterior scratches but sounds like the screens have been fine. Idk for 90 bucks I might bite

Read "Returns" before you buy. Imo, intentionally crafty wording.

Sounds like units used by students.

I think you should have quoted the next sentence too: "Item may have a bad battery."

This one looks to be in better shape for a bit more money. https://www.ebay.com/itm/35788538...A233 2490

Spec wise, quite a bit for ~$100. As long as it's not Donkey Konged, solid deal.

At least they have free returns (seller pays for shipping).

Check your school district. I see similar chromebooks of this same generation (8gb/128ssd and with post celeron processors) for like $30

Is there any reason why this wouldn't be a decent candidate for a home lab in place of something like a Raspberry Pi or N100 mini PC? Low power, 4 threads, and Intel Quick Sync. All it's missing is Ethernet.

Our office has standardized on Chromebooks, Chromebox, and Chromebase.
But we no longer procure these 360 flip types, as the hinges go bad, and the screen wiring inside.
I have repaired them, with epoxy and screws, but its just not worth the extra price, and most users don't use touchscreen.
YMMV

Love the Chromebook for travels or as a loaner machine.

You can always use it as a second screen but at 3.2 pounds it may be too heavy to carry with your regular laptop.
