Is DDR4 much slower than DDR5? Is it worth the bundle or bite the bullet and pay more for DDR5 memory?

It's sad that I purchased this exact motherboard and cpu with similar Silicon Power RAM in April/May of last year, all separate purchases for total of $202. The difference in price is only because of the memory. Sucks cause I didn't notice the 5500 doesn't support PCIe 4 until it was too late. And that was a feature I was intending to have on this system. Oh well.

Yes but it really depends what you use it for, gaming might be only a few frames difference, if you do heavy loads like 3D renders or video editing, you'll probably notice the biggest difference. Your whole setup is what matters, there is always a bottleneck, no such thing as avoiding one
