I do not recommend Samsung monitors. I bought a G5 few years back, and it didn't have auto source input detection. If you are using multiple inputs (HDMI + DP) into the same monitor, it is a hassle to switch input in menu when other monitors can automatically switch.
It's also a pain in the rear end to file warranty claim. Samsung makes it cumbersome to file and process any claims you submit. To give you a reference, I consider ASUS miles better than Samsung when it comes to RMA process.

Yeah. They all say that. I have an Odyssey that has it and it doesn't work properly unless only one input is connected. I have a FireTV, docked computer and Xbox connected and I have to manually switch inputs even if the other device is powered off. On top of that, it takes 30-40 seconds in a standby state for the input select menu to come up and then change inputs. I love the monitor outside of that but damn is this part annoying...

Thanks for the heads up.

The auto switching feature was probably incorporated since @ultrashino bought his/her/their old monitor then.

Sorry for the random question but figured someone reading this post is more likely to know... do grade school edu email accounts qualify to get in on this deal?

Just wondering if you have any follow up thoughts on the 27" Samsung Odyssey G5F QHD monitor? Specs seem great for the edu price. Also I assume a college kid can snag one at the edu price if they attend college and have an edu address.
