The Acer was overall a great computer for the money, and I would recommend it to others, but I have a couple of caveats.
First (and the dealbreaker for me), the screen really sucks. It is dim (300 nits) and has a poor color gamut (56% sRGB). It also has very bad PWM (115 Hz) according to Notebookcheck.net (see https://www.notebookche
Second, the exhaust for the chassis fan points into the bottom of the display panel, rather than out the back or side. The hot air mainly hits the lower plastic bezel, and it probably isn't a serious reliability concern, but it can only make things worse. I also found the fan whine to be louder than the Vivobook S and it ramped up more aggressively, even when set to the Quiet profile.
I understand that corners have to be cut somewhere (I overlook the keyboard flex, crappy speakers), but I couldn't get over the screen, especially the PWM. For someone else, it could be a great buy.
