I prefer this one over rechargeable one because recharge one's battery may not be replaceable.

Get a rechargeable one. You won't regret it. Buying batteries for these becomes tedious

Bought a cheap one from Harbor Freight many years ago and it took D batteries. I have never replaced them.

I agree, my rechargeable one has lasted for 3-4 years now. I had to replace batteries before and it was def tedious. I unfortunately had a lot of fruit flies to zap over the years.

apparently the "grid voltage" is how much power the insect is zapped with.

The highest ones on Amazon are about 4000 watts. this B&D one has 2500-3000 volts. The popular zapits (which I have had and liked) have about 4000 watts but not as high ratings as this B&D due to durabilty/ charging issues? For the price, this B&D one is a great deal.

For me, I am on my third bug zapper and really rely on it to kill mosquitoes about this time of year. Otherwise, I have the smell/genetics of a mosquito magnet. So I opted for a more expensive $21 with high ratings and a 4000 watt grid voltage. (YISSVIC). I am NOT messing around! Smilie

My last zapper had a swivable head for set up on a table and in different configurations. However, when you swing it at a bug, the head lolls everywhere making it near impossible to hit anything. So I definitely prefer the fixed head rackets.
