Interesting claim. I use it and work in IT... Works pretty flawlessly for my job.
Unfortunately, MacOS is not usable in Oracle or SAP environment. But I agree with many that Windows becomes so irritating with AI and ads that Mac is a feasible home laptop option, especially if you use cloud backup/storage or/and retail NAS. I however like the Windows hard drive Pool a lot, for being simple, robust easily transferable and super easy to integrate into a home network as shared resources. Apple is light years away of such ability.

This is a great price for a baseline Mac Mini. I checked the Micro Center in Fairfax, VA and they had 19 in stock well 18 after I left. Not all stores have them and their website is not accurate with their stock. My local store showed zero in stock but when I went in they had 19.

How's 16gb ram this day and age? I haven't kept up with Macs other than the absolute basics. My current MBP is from 2018 with an i7 lol it's showing its age. I'm mostly doing photo editing 33-62mp raws, and some basic 3d stuff.

I really like mine. I use is specifically for the Adobe apps, 3D printing, and modeling. Works flawlessly for me.

Depends on what you need to use it for. For most folks' general tasks, office work, web browsing, photo editing and light video editing, the M4 is already more than powerful enough. The M5 version is going to be even better, but unless you're doing work that's going to tap out the capacity of the M4, which the vast majority people aren't, not sure if it's worth the extra 300 bucks.
Shoot, I have an M4 Mac Mini, and I also have an M1 Macbook Air, and the M1 Air still kicks a lot of ass. That 10-core M4 processor is fast and only uses about half the power as anything from Intel or AMD.

16gb on a Mac is "fine" compared to a PC. I've not had a problem with Adobe apps and 3D modeling.
