I wouldn't describe an 18 gauge extension as heavy duty.

It might be heavy but at 10 amps and 18guage wire it's little load. This isn't "heavy duty" enough to run a hair drier.

It's "heavy duty" because there's 10x more plastic protecting the thin, borderline useless wiring than you'd find in a "normal" extension cord. What a joke. I honestly wouldn't take this for free, it's trash.
