Just a heads up, I found the Glennaker to be an absolutely awful rain jacket. It is like wearing a plastic garbage bag with no venting and no lining in the arms, leaving me nearly as wet from minimal normal perspiration as I would have been from the dang rain. I thought it was leaking at first it was so bad, and that was just after being out in the rain for a few minutes making deliveries a few times, not hiking the Appalachian Trail. It was disappointing, especially considering I wear Columbia jackets and sweatshirts all the time, especially throughout our cold, snowy winters.

It wasn't long before I replaced the Glennaker with a Wahkeena Falls 3-layer shell for $50 or $60 on sale. That one is 1000x better because it is well-vented and much more breathable, while also being fully waterproof, seam sealed, etc., proving to me that Columbia can make a decent rain jacket and my problem with the Glennaker wasn't just me. I haven't tried the Hikebound or Watertight listed here, but both claim to be waterproof and seam sealed, and I'd bet they're way better for actual rain use and are only a few dollars more.

Glendale is a light weight sackable jacket. More like a windbreaker. But I do like it has packable hood. Only issue is no inner lining. It's fine for a layering jacket but not close to being worth even $30

I have owned several of the Glennaker over over the years. They are super lightweight but only good for walking from your car to the store in the rain. Not exactly waterproof but will work in a light rain for minimal time.

I agree there are much belter options if you are gonna be out in the rain for long periods of time.
