The Formula 5F6 (The "Tweed" Era): The 5F6 replicates the 1959 Bassman. Keith Richards is famous for his late-50s Tweed Twin and Bassman amps. This pedal gets that "loose," saggy, mid-heavy crunch found on Sticky Fingers or Exile on Main St.
Dirty Little Secret (The "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out" Sound): In the late 60s and early 70s, the Stones (especially Mick Taylor) used a lot of British-voiced grit.
