These things don't dissolve all the way and gum up your dishwasher. Stick with a powder.

Is that the case with all dishwashers? We have been using these for 18 years like twice a week and the dishwasher is still in excellent shape.

I'm sure it is. But even then, if these pods were an issue, I would have had some problems. But I haven't had to do anything on this dishwasher. I'm guessing there is some basic maintenance that I need to do, but I've never even done that.
