I like the shape and design of this (use the top lid easily too), but I couldn't pass up Amazon Basics Round Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Dutch Oven Pot with Lid and Dual Handles, Heavy-Duty & Large, 7-Quart, Black for 33.00 with good reviews.
Note: This was an amazingly low 24.50 in August of last year.

bought this and used it tonight. Works great, none of the alleged problems of a few reviews - seasoning was good, did a quick wipe off, added some bacon grease, and started cooking.

You're paying a premium for a brand name here from a different country. I don't know if this will only last two generations, and Victoria's three generations -- my grandchildren will post that here... Meanwhile I saved 20-30 bucks.
