The "2 hi-gain omnidirectional microphones" play in both ears making them essentially mono, with no directional audio.

Fine for the range, not so great anywhere else you want to know which direction a sound is coming from.

When the 4A is gone I'll still have my 2A.

you'll still want the in ear foam too if you're thinking about the LRAD being used daily now.

These are really good earmuffs for the range, and the ability to speak to each other clearly while having the noise cancellation is great.

My wife has a pair, I bought myself a pair several months back when they were around $30, and about a month ago I bought four (4) more, one for each of our kids, at about $22/each.

At nearly $20, absolutely buy one.

I paid a lot more for worse earpro. I bought a pair of these Walker cans a few months ago and have been very happy with them.

Thanks, I was hoping to pick up a pair for hunting, but mono channel is a no go for situational awareness. Even when others are trying to talk to you and you have no idea from which direction. Annoying.

Spend a couple more dollars and get the Savior Apollo ear muffs with the gel cups and stereo mic. Gel cups alone are worth a half box of ammo, esp in summertime use. Stereo mic so you know which way to turn when there's a fudd RSO barking at the back of your head for not waiting long enough between shots lol

I'm assuming these are primarily marketed and designed for 2A. Has anyone used them in a shop setting for power tools? Are they still effective in that use case, or are they better tuned to loud, brief impulse noises?

I use these when I run power tools, chainsaw, etc. Decent muffs.
