Fine for the range, not so great anywhere else you want to know which direction a sound is coming from.
you'll still want the in ear foam too if you're thinking about the LRAD being used daily now.
Community Reviews
Walker's Tacti-Grip earmuffs are a strong range and shop hearing-protection pick, with clear voice amplification that still shuts down gunshots and other loud impulse noise quickly. They also work well for power tools, chainsaws, pneumatic nail guns, and even barking dogs, and the audio input supports add-on Bluetooth or walkie-talkie modules. The main drawback is that the microphones play in both ears, so the sound is essentially mono with no directional awareness. Fit can also be tight on larger heads, and cranking the volume can bring in static.
The earmuffs can help with clear communication while blocking gunshots during range use.
The built-in amplifier can boost human voices and natural sounds while rapidly blocking loud gunshots and other sounds.
The earmuffs can work well for loud pneumatic nail guns and other power-tool noise.
The earmuffs include an audio input with Bluetooth and walkie-talkie modules that attach to the earmuffs.
The omnidirectional microphones can play in both ears, which makes the audio essentially mono.
The mono channel can be a dealbreaker for hunting because it makes sound direction hard to judge.
The earmuffs can produce noticeable static when the volume is cranked up.
The earmuffs are all plastic, so a single good drop may degrade sound protection.
