But what is trending worse is receiving used, or open box merchanidise; someone else's returns. I ordered something from AnkerDirect, though another retailer marketplace, which was fulfilled by Amazon, and was sent a returned item that acted wonky. I'm surprised that Amazon doesn't actively censor the reviews that complain about the practice, but it's not hard to find them.
Anker support was fine, and took care of it, but at the rate that Amazon shoppers return items, and the laxity of their return processing, it has become wearying as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see a clampdown on Amazon return policies some time in the future, but OTOH, they may just be too big to care.
FWIW, I bought this 8-pack a couple weeks ago, and they are genuine, Japanese cells.
Had been planning to make the journey to IKEA for IKEAloops, but never got around to it. Their price increase has made them more expensive that the Eneloop-branded cells, so if one is willing to take the Amazon gamble…
