Also, the XT60 connector has an extra pin that tells it if the device is 8A or less (car charger) or up to 16A (solar). You either need to shell out for ecoflow branded cables or you can make XT60 adapters that jump the sense pin to + or - for whatever devices and cables you plug in.
Finally, most household 120VAC devices are limited to 12A, or 1,440W for continuous use and 15A or 1800W for short-term use. That means that this will power pretty much anything, even a level 1 electric car charger. Of course it can only run those high power devices for like an hour. Charging an electric car for an hour is good for like 4 or 5 miles. Running a heater for an hour is better than nothing in a power failure, but you're better off powering the ventilation fan and starter on a propane heater that will last for many hours or days.

The EcoFlow Delta 3 1500 is a 1536Wh portable power station that feels like a bigger, quieter Delta 2, with enough output for UPS use, routers and cameras, and even short bursts from high draw loads like air fryers or a level 1 car charger. The extra capacity is the main draw, and the unit can also support expansion batteries and app based charge limits. The main cautions are refurb uncertainty and warranty confusion, with coverage described as ranging from one year to longer EcoFlow backed terms depending on channel. It is also heavy, and a few units have shown quirks like cold weather shutdowns or app pairing issues, making it a strong capacity play if those tradeoffs are acceptable.

After some time the Delta 3 Ultra on self-powered mode constantly flips AC output between battery-solar-AC in. This does not happen on my Delta 2. As a result, it repeatedly trips my connected downstream UPS running my homelab. Again, doesn't happen when same setup running from River 3 or Delta 2. EcoFlow support is befuddled.
search Reddit if you care about TOU/solar problems with the Delta 3 series. Seems like hardware design issue.
Yes, but keep in mind that this version of the unit is really just over a year old, so even if used every day, filled and emptied to the max, it should only be down 2-3% at most. These are rated for 4,000 of those cycles before they hit 80% capacity.
Refurbs are tested and warrantied, so it's not much of a risk, but the chances of a lemon are higher than new.

I'm getting the message your app version is too old to support this device when I try to add it.
I have the newest version of the app...
