Bought this two years ago and only use for eggs... Remarkable. Has actually held up and still non stick. Only wash with soap and soft sponge and never use over medium heat.

I'll one up you. Same but forget cleaning and cover when done lol. Every nonstick egg only I've done last years. The thing that breaks it is when pan is cold and you hit it with hot (like induction) or if your pan is not hot enough and you put frozen items to cook (potsickers for example) - literally just ruined a non stick pan because of that. It is the rapid cold hot cold situation that kills the nonstick coating.

FYI carote absolutely dances around the fact that they use teflon in the production process.

Best pan I've ever used, 8 inches is doable but yeah the 10 inch one is better overall.

I see. My mom has one of these and I had a feeling it was teflon coated. Its freakishly light.

No more nonstick pans for me!

Stainless-steel / Carbon-steel / Cast-iron all the way for me. Gimme something that can be used with metal utensils. Not pans and pots that I need to baby.

They're cheap for a reason. Fail quickly in my experience, after just a dozen or so uses and cleaning with blue 3M Scotchbrite pads... I've had other non-stick pans work for years and remain better than the Carote pan I had for just a few months.

It's a non-stick pan. Why the heck are you using blue scotch-brite on them when you could just be wiping them out with a cloth. I know the blue ones are much less abrasive ("safe for non-sick") but they are still much harsher than cloth, and if the pan is working well and you're not burning shit onto it (which means you probably got the pan too hot to begin with) then it shouldn't need cleaning with abrasives.
