I used an ozone generator in a stinky room when we first moved into our house and then aired it out for hours. The residual smell was noticeable for weeks, but the room is a spare bedroom, so it didn't pose a problem for anyone.

FYI: Ozone destroys chemical double bonds. It addition to breaking down smelly hydrocarbons it will also destroy some plastics and rubber compounds.

I bought this exact model last year at full price. It's works well, we bought a house and the previous owners had dogs that they kept in the basement apparently and we have cats and their littler box down there now. No matter how much we cleaned it just had a kind of lingering funk. Used this one night for 30 min and the next morning it smelled much better. I run it every few months just to keep everything fresh down there, works perfectly.

I picked one of these up the other day. It works, pumped a ton of ozone in the small room I tested it. Remember, don't breathe in ozone and you will need to fully air it out, if using in a room, use windows and a fan to push out the ozone. Same with a car.

Can't beat the price.

This machine is used to kill mold and smells. eg. a smokers car or visible mold in a closet or room etc.
