Full price is $17 and this is somehow considered a slickdeal?
Not sure what is up with Amazon's list price for this one, but if you check price history you see this is typically around $40, but does drop to this $15-17 price occasionally. Is this worth $40+, doubtful. Is it worth $15-17, probably.I picked up a cheap vacuum sealer from previous deal (guy fiera brand) and have been very happy with it...can't comment on this sealer specifically.
I've tried this one. Decent price for a good machine. Only drawback is the bag size limitation. While they describe the "sealing strip" as 11.8 inches, the vacuum slot you feed the bag into is only 10" wide, meaning you can't use the larger 11" wide bags that are commonly available.

You can with a little thinkin'. I use 12" bags to vacuum seal 3D printer filament. My vacuum sealer isn't wide enough. What I do, is seal each corner at an angle and they meet in the middle. First corner is just a seal, the second corner is a vacuum and seal

That's pretty ingenious! Nice work! But I imagine that does waste some of the usable space of the bag, which I why I'm glad I found another sealer under $20 that did accept 11" wide bags.
