*Disclaimer* I only know this because the screen on my endoscope got cracked while I was working on my car. It was only then that I realized that the camera that was on it was plugged in via a USB A port on the unit. I had some old type C to type A adapters from one of my early Pixel phones (because I'm a hoarder) and tried this out and it worked. I actually prefer to have a dedicated display for my endoscope but these small screens are common and fragile.
Just a random and interesting fact. I might still be ordering this into to replace my old one. Thanks, OP

You cannot view tight spaces if you cannot articulate the camera, so get one with a wheel to adjust the camera's position.
I got one before to look into my engine, and it was useless. I sent it back and got one that hooks up to my phone and has a wheel to move the camera 350* to make a hook on one side and then a hook on the other on one plane.
Took a long time to get the animal comment out. Try Benadryl at 2 mg/pound about sixty minutes before the procedure. Will induce sleep so you can explore your pet.

Because it uses my phone as the screen, there are less things that can go wrong IMO. I have used it 4-5 times so far to check a few engines and to replace a crank position sensor (CPS) on the back of my engine against the firewall (PITA replacement). It was definitely nice to have to check the combustion chamber walls on the used engine, checking piston heads when changing spark plugs, and location of the CPS bolts.
The other option is to look for one with multiple cameras so you can see ahead and switch to the sides.
Seriously though, I need something like this but a lot longer to inspect other pipes.
