It's possible to use tech these days interchangeably with numerous devices, not sure if you were aware.
Someone may want a dock primarily for their desktop and be able to sometimes use it also with a phone, for instance.
Good quality, reliable docks can often cost that much and far further north of that.

How are you so sure?
You are so indignant on your stance you've got complete blinders on.
Reread what their question was.
If we know this thing will work on a desktop, then the remaining question would be to ask for a phone. For some reason you keep beating us over the head with your shortsightedness.
No, Samsung Dex is not "being phased out".
The Dex Windows App was sunset. Recently, they optimized Dex to work smoother using Android's native desktop mode.
Samsung Dex is super popular and will continue to work via compatible phones when plugged in via cable/dock/etc. Where did you hear that?

Just to elaborate, I have a gaming phone powerful enough to emulate windows games, steam, etc (RM 10S Pro) which I'm not sure was going to work with a hub like this, that's why I asked. I understand now that it should work with any usb-c devices.
Never intended for my question to spark an argument. Thanks!
