I just ordered the Samsung HW-Q990F, which is on sale at Woot for under $900.

The Q990F beats every other brand's flagship soundbar system. It also goes on sale for significantly cheaper. Sonos is very overpriced. You can look it up on Rtings. You can even type in "Sonos Arc Ultra vs Samsung Q990F" on Rtings and it'll give you a side by side comparison.

Absolutely. There's a massive difference. If you're not already aware of the site, check out different soundbar systems on Rtings. They'll tell you everything you want to know about the differences in various systems.

I have sonos and i have other vizio/lg sound bars etc. I am not a audiophile, but Sonos sounds waaay better than anything that I have. Plus the multi room capabilities so my music can follow me where i go in the home. plus the modular structure. Add delete or modify any component within sonos system. Yes its expensive for sure. but worth it if you can spend big dollars.

btw Samsung 990s series can give you almost same sound for less, but will need some tweaking.

Most people would say yes they are better.
Now whether it's worth the much higher cost is a whole other question.

The often touted benefit is it being higher number "Atmos" setup.
It's a simulated version not an actual version obviously.

It's the TV. I have the same exact TV. I had to do a factory reset. And haven't had any problems since

To the people saying the Samsung is a better product. Yes, it might be, however, if you have any other Sonos devices within your household, the syncing capabilities are why people purchase them. If I have guests over my house and want free-flowing music synced throughout my house, that's what I'm paying for.

True. Q990F is wow.. Sonos is good but Q990F is equally good if not better..and if you account $$$ Q990F is no brainer.

I would suggest listening to these units side by side if possible. It really boils down to your listening application and of course cost.
