How is this as a game? Speaking as someone who played most of the classic Pokémon games and briefly dipped into Palworld, I don't really know if I'd stick with this one

Very different battle system. No gyms. Boss fights can get tough especially towards the end game. Super easy shiny hunting. It's more of an action battle system. I thought it was fun for a play through, but I can't imagine going back to it much.

As a childhood fan of the original Red/Blue games, I think this is the best release they've had in a while. The new mainline games don't do it for me, but this is quite fun.

Same. This is refreshing with the battle system. Didn't play much just yet but I think this is a fair price. I never really played any of the other gens after gold until I got Pokémon sword/shield. All I think are always fun because of nostalgia sake but this is at least something new, so was Arceus

If you like Pokemon and are OK with something different, try it out. I've been playing since the Red/Blue days and have enjoyed it.
