Absolutely! People complaining about high food prices just need to diversify their cooking rotation. So many nutritious and economical options out there. Chicken breast is still under $3/lb, dried pinto beans, chickpeas, lentils, rice, pasta (still $1/lb.), tons of options out there if you're a creative chef.

I'm in for a couple also. I eat a lot of lentils and this seems like a really fair price.

Do you soak your lentils over night and discard the water? You could do that two times. Then cook it in fresh water. I do that with every dried bean. Kidney beans are toxic for instance. They have to be soaked and water discarded. Lupin/Lupini beans are even more toxic than kidney beans. Although finding them unsoaked is difficult. Usually they've already been properly processed for eating

They're not "lentil beans," they're lentils. Beans and lentils are both legumes, but, strictly speaking, lentils are not beans. Just sayin'.

I've bought iberia canned products before and never noticed a difference between that and the Goya equivalent. Might try this as I am soaking Goya lentils right now for dinner tonight.

One question I have in a lot of recent Amazon S&S deals is they will not ship with the monthly S&S order and won't apply to get to the 15% off when you subscribe to 5 items. I have 2 items for February S&S items and I wanted to apply this, an MCT oil and the Nutricost Unflavored Prtein concentrate but none of these items will ship with the regular S&S order and says 5% off this order, but it ships quicker and then says 15% off on the NEXT delivery.

How can I bypass this instant delivery and just get the standard 15% off to get my order to qualify.
