That dude definitely has never even seen the blanket. He's just a hater of popular brand names that sell outside of their main marketed items, in this case would be slippers/shoes. I have this blanket and it's fantastic. Probably not worth the MRSP, but worth $50.

Cheaper blankets are not thick and heavy like this one. There is a notable difference between a cheap throw and the some of the pricier ones. I have Kohl's throws - they're thin and just ok, nothing fancy and then a couple throws from Anthro and Ugg which are heavy and thick. More expensive, but the quality is better.
