Not surprised to see a refurb deal on these since there are tons of them that get sent back to be fixed. I had a pair for 3 months before they refused to charge and I returned them. The charging and battery software is absolute trash which is a shame because I loved them while they worked.

Sonys are better in noise cancelling. But the B&Ws should sound better, but preferred sound is subjective.

Good price, but according to rtings xm4 and 5 are still better than this pair. Still, for 99 it's prob a steal

Got me. I wavered too long on momentum 4s last season which have better stock tuning but I'll be using wavelet and peace apo anyways. Slick deal indeed.

I just checked out B&W's website. Can't find links to firmware or software. This brand doesn't do any firmware updates, or provide software to tune to customize settings ?

depends on what's your priority. These have better sound clarity and better tuning, bose has more base but not as clear on mids and different instruments in complicated sound mixes. Sony on the other hands top ANC, great base and very clean sound. That is why is too darn expensive. These I recommend over Bose if you care about clarity and differentiating different sounds. Also, Px7 s2e are the improved version of this model.
