I'm actually happy about this. There's been an explosion of folks that are using LED's in headlamp assemblies meant to take halogen. Horrible beam pattern and blinding oncoming drivers.

That and folks driving with their brights on. Super annoying.

I mounted a similar one to my snowblower, replacing an incandescent auto bulb. Works awesome. BUT you need to add a inexpensive voltage rectifier to make it work. (Because leds require DC voltage, while incandescent bulb doesn't care)

How do people wire these to their vehicle? To a fuse in the fuse box?

Bought these from one of the many past posts on them. Still sitting on the desk...
Bought pair of plug-and-play LEDS for $20 and they are in the stock fog lights... work fantastic.

I believe what you get with this are only the lights & brackets. No wiring or switches

As of Feb 1, 2026, in California, you do get a hefty ticket just for this. Even if your low beam lights are not properly aligned (as happens in most trucks), a ticket may show up at your door.
And this is ain't all. 9 more ridiculous things can lead to citations and fines as high as $1000.
Moral of the story: If you live in California and are now thinking of leaving, take someone with you!

If you search, for a little more, you can get the full kit with all the needed hardware. Otherwise, look at something like this:

I have similar ones, maybe the previous model. Made a flashlight out of one of them mounting directly to a generic Dewalt battery adapter (these are 12-24vdc lights, works right off of the 20V Dewalt batteries). I also mounted one on the back of my tractor and two on my zero turn. The bracket limits the angle choices of the light but it is bright and works fine.

I mounted these on an old license plate mount and use my old ryobi batteries for it. Have also mounted them to a work light tripod. They do great for a work light, emergency light etc. and doesn't draw too much power. I also have one of their bigger and more powerful lights mounted to a work light mount. That one is blindingly bright but draws more power.

I bought these exact ones back in 2020 to replace the headlights on my old 1998 Arctic Cat. I used these wired to the low beams then added the same brand larger light bar for the center to make it better when plowing. I wired that to the high beam. They are great lights!
