Couple notes about AAAWave - I ordered this same processor from them at this great price and it has been working flawlessly. First negative thing was they shipped with UPS who handed it off to local USPS, but at the time there was nothing about that on the tracking so I most certainly thought it was lost in mail. I emailed them and got no response and that has been the sentiment from everyone else on Slickdeals; if you have issues with your order expect to hear nothing from their customer service. I eventually got the processor but it was in a padded manila envelope and in a crumbled up anti spark bag - that's it. No plastic OEM tray, nothing like that, just a a loose processor flopping around in the mail. Price is great, but just know you're rolling the dice.

Do you guys actually need this?

I have a 5900x and a 4080S. In almost every single game my CPU use is less than 40%. 1440P RT on etc.

The only way I can see the CPU making that big of a difference is if you are an esport pro doing 1080P 180HZ unlimited FPS etc.

Depends on where you're coming from and how you're using it I suppose. For example, with DLSS, since the games are being rendered at a lower resolution, CPU starts to make a difference again.

Ok I get that. I never use dlss if I can help it. Probably why I always wind up with approx 80 fps and others have 144

And that memory is not really free when that whole box set will "set" you back by $1000... You see what I did there 😉😁😂

Slickdeals used to be better at mitigating double posted deals. Seems like their quality control has fell off...

Reminder: you don't get manufacturer's warranty on these processors. AMD doesn't offer warranty to end-customers for OEM / tray CPUs.

Correct. Also considering that this is a crap seller, you're living dangerously.
