Community Reviews
Ryobi's 18V ONE plus cordless 3 8 inch crown stapler stands out as a fast, reliable tool for insulation, Tyvek, attic baffles, posters, decorations, furniture assembly, and other high volume stapling jobs. It is praised for driving staples consistently, avoiding jams, and running well on a 2 amp hour battery. The depth adjustment and simple trigger make it easy to use, though it is a bit heavy and front heavy when resting on the battery. The main caution is that it only shoots 3 8 inch staples, and there is a reported failure after warranty expiration. A solid compact stapler for frequent stapling tasks.
The stapler can drive 3/8-inch staples for common fastening tasks like insulation and baffle work.
The depth dial and simple trigger design can help the tool perform consistently without jams during projects.
The stapler can handle demanding jobs like Tyvek sheeting and feeding decades-old rusty staples without jamming.
The tool can work well on a 2Ah battery, which can avoid needing a heavier 4Ah pack for typical use.
The motor can fail after the warranty period, with cracked mechanisms that can cause the motor to get stuck.
The tool can be front-heavy and may tip forward when resting on the battery, which can be annoying during breaks.
The stapler can have occasional issues even when it is generally liked, which can interrupt workflow.
Some reviews can describe the tool as garbage, and that negative feedback can be enough for people to pass on it.

I've been eyeing this one for a couple of years. I don't use a stapler too often, but when I do, I use it on hard wood. Hand staplers don't cut it, pneumatics are out, and electric is better, but not good enough. The best one I have has an itchy trigger and often double-fires. I'm anxious to give this one a try.

Sorry, I gotta ask... you're using a staple gun to put plastic over windows?
