I'm flabbergasted that it's still an ultrasonic humidifier even though it's a heater too. What happened to the humidifiers with heating elements that put out all kinds of humidity?

They still make 'em. I have a "Vicks" branded one, package called it a Vaporizer Humidifier.
Puts out a lot of water and heat. It only puts out heat secondary to the vaporizer function, no way to use it as just a space heater.

It's perfect for the office. I can be warm at my desk, or the office burns and I get to work from home.

You'll throw any small humidifer in the trash cause you have to refill it every half hour and it won't do anything even when you do; but this thing is tiny. Mid sized ones also can barely dampen the air a little bit an need refilled many times day. And large ones that hold several gallons need filled once a day if you actually need humidity.

You can't forget about it either cause a lapse means it takes forever to dampen the air again. You should forget about this one tho so you don't have to remember buying it.
