Bought this recently, it's a beast. If you can deal with the form factor it out does every other cordless die grinder according to Torque Test Channel.
can someone explain to me the difference between a die grinder and impact driver
Impact drivers don't give consistant torque. It's like a jack-hammer, but rotational. I think the difference between this and a normal drill is that these have more torque. I honestly thought it the poster made a mistake and posted a drill until I looked at the ad.

Impact drivers seem to be the sort of people that can win NASCAR races, while this is better for when you have dice that are rough or too large and you want to grind them down, per my AI chatbot.
Is anything still seeing this deal at $79 as of 02/01? I'm seeing all the home deals at +$10 same as yesterday.
I wonder if home depot is jacking up prices for certain regions now with online purchases as well.
I bought this last year for sanding rotor and hub surfaces to complete brake jobs. It works outstanding. I see it is $89 here in Michigan today on 2/1 as well.

This is better than the gen1 M12 right angle die grinder coz it doesnt overheat and bog down. Even the gen2 M12 still overheats occassionaly. Good deal if you already have Ryobi batteries!
