I was eyeing this, but then saw tp link is stopping security updates mid next year which seems like a deal breaker.

Based on the provided search results, there is no indication that the current, top-of-the-line TP-Link BE11000 WiFi 7 products (such as the Deco BE65/BE63/BE85 or Omada EAP770/772/773) are officially marked as End of Life (EOL) as of late 2024/2025. [1, 2, 3]
However, here are the relevant EOL, EOS (End of Support), and model notes:

• Linksys Velop MBE7000 BE11000: Specifically listed as End of Life on December 11, 2024.
• TP-Link EOL List (June 2025): While specific, earlier models like the Archer AX10 are listed as EOL, the current "BE11000 Whole Home Mesh" systems are not listed on the provided snippet for immediate discontinuation.
• General Context: Wi-Fi 7 is the newest standard (2024-2025), so BE11000 devices are currently active, supported models.
• Older Models: Note that some early TP-Link Wi-Fi 7, like the BE900 v1, reportedly reached EOL within a year of release, as noted in user discussions. [4, 5, 6]

Disclaimer: EOL status can change, and it is recommended to check the official TP-Link support page for specific model/version numbers (e.g., Deco BE11000 V2.60). [7, 8]

Just upgraded my system from the deco m9 plus to these. I went from 4 M9's in my 4500sw ft house to only needing 2 of these and I have the same coverage. These things are fantastic. I'm finally getting my full 1.1 gig download speeds over Wi-Fi whereas the m9 couldn't really do much past 500 mb download. Highly recommend.
